The following was shared during the 2018 Annual Youth Day service. Several youths were invited to write a letter to their former and/or future selves, encouraging them to stay with Christ and trust that He would bring them higher!
Dear Mikayla,
There will come a day where you feel that you have no choice. A feeling of obligation. Or you just may not know what to do.
But I want you to remember, you know right from wrong. You know who you are. You know who your family is. You know where you come from and where your beliefs stand.
You will feel alone but YOU ARE NOT alone. You may feel helpless, but YOU ARE NOT helpless. You ARE loved when you don’t feel loved.
You will face a lot of things in life, even though you’re still young and feel like you’ve hit your lowest point. You are NOT that which the enemy tells you that you are. You are a talented, smart, beautiful young woman of God and YOU. WILL. GO. HIGHER.
