Mother Vivian Pruitte, born Viviana Valdez , is a native of the Dominican Republic. She immigrated to New York with her mother, and the rest of her family where she successfully completed her secondary education through New York City schools and eventually enrolled in the College of Staten Island majoring in the medical profession of nursing.

She was introduced to holiness by a friend who was a member of the First Church of God in Christ in Staten Island, New York.  Being obedient, she accepted the call of salvation and was later baptized with the gift of the Holy Ghost. She was a faithful member serving in the choir and various other auxiliaries.  She met Eddie B Pruitte, Jr. while he visited his sister who attended the same church.

They were united in marriage in 1988, and the Lord blessed them with four beautiful daughters.  They later relocated to Northern Virginia where they became members of Gethsemane Church of God in Christ.

In 1998, the spirit of the Lord impressed upon her husband’s heart to start a work, Holiness Tabernacle Church of God In Christ in the Woodbridge area of Eastern Prince William County Virginia. She and their four daughters were the first members of the church. She busily started organizing lessons and programs suited for women and children. As she walked with her husband, she was committed and determined to be steadfast and unmovable knowing the work of the Lord was precious and great. As a prayer warrior, she consecrated herself seeking God for his divine wisdom and obeying his instructions. 

Mother Pruitte is probably best known for her keen knowledge of the Word of the Lord.  Her ability to “…rightly divide the word of truth” never ceases to amaze all who cross her path.  This God-given gift has not gone unnoticed as Mother Pruitte is a major contributor and instructor for several of the educational programs of the Women’s Department of the 1^st Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Virginia COGIC.

Mother Pruitte is also known as a worshipper and prayer warrior.  It is not uncommon to see our First Lady going forth and praying the women through to victory.  She is definitely one of a kind.

Mother Pruitte is the President of the Women’s Dept, Prayer & Bible Band and serves on the Mother’s Board.  She is a licensed Evangelist Missionary, who imparts holy and sound teaching.  She is endowed with many gifts of the Holy Spirit and allows God to fully utilize her in every capacity.

In her professional career as a Parent Liaison in the Prince William Public School system, she assists many parents, especially those in the Latino community.  She enjoys aiding others and displaying the true qualities God has provided in love.

She is a rare pearl who loves the Lord.
